CAN Event Manager
Note: This program is no longer being developed and technical support is not available anymore.
This software can be used for convenient configuration of the CAN network. You can define a catalog of CAN messages and a catalog of nodes that stand for physical devices connected to CAN. Based on the data from both catalogs, the software can generate C-language configuration files (*.c and *.h) for all nodes. See description of software properties for more details.
Currently, only data frames with fixed width can be defined and maintained with the software. However, as this is the primary purpose of the CAN network, the software should fullfil most needs.
CAN Event Manager features
Configures the CAN timing according to Bosch specification dated 1991.
Allows to create and maintain a list of messages for the whole CAN network.
Allows to create and manage CAN nodes that stand for physical devices connected to CAN.
Allows to assign messages to CAN nodes. A CAN node can transmit several messages from the list and receive another messages from the list.
Optimizes acceptance filters for all CAN nodes automatically. Acceptance filters minimize the software handling of unwanted received messages in a CAN node.
Allows to generate *.C and *.H configuration files for all nodes from a simple template. These files contain CAN driver configuration for each node and can be placed into an arbitrary location on disk.
A template is a file writen primarilly in C language (CAN driver configuration) and completed with special tags that are replaced by project data at compilation time. The compiler parses the template file and creates *.C and *.H configuration files.
